This newsletter focuses primarily on the Correctional Services Portfolio Committee, from 2004 to 2009.
On 17 February 2009 the Portfolio Committee on Correctional Services
(the Portfolio Committee) adopted its handover-report to the incoming
Portfolio Committee that will take office after the April 2009
elections. This 19-page report provides an opportunity to again
assess the work of the Portfolio Committee and its contribution to the
reform of the prison system in South Africa.
